Terms of use

Last updated 13 August 2026 · In effect from 13 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of padrecap.com. By reading the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

What this site is

PadreCap is an independent editorial publication about mobile games listed on Google Play. Everything published here is information and opinion. A recap describes what a title was like when our desk played it, on the handset we used, on the date stated. It is not advice, it is not a recommendation to install anything, and it carries no promise about how a game will behave for you.

Ratings shown next to a title are copied from that title’s Google Play listing on the date given in the shortlist. They are the store’s figures, not ours, and they change over time. Any wording that reads as a verdict — the shelf label, the “best for” column, the description — is the considered opinion of the desk and nothing more.

Advertising disclosure

Advertising placements appear on this site alongside the editorial work. Two things follow from that, and we would rather state them plainly:

  • Advertising is displayed on the site, and some links to Google Play are advertising placements. Where a section contains such links, that is disclosed in the section itself.
  • Some titles show advertising inside the game itself, and where that materially shapes the experience the recap says so.

Commercial arrangements are agreed separately from the editorial work. No arrangement changes a rating, moves a title up the shortlist or removes an unfavourable sentence from a recap. If we could not publish an honest recap of a title, we would not include it at all. The same statement in shorter form appears in the editorial model section of the front page.

No affiliation

PadreCap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, to Google Play, or to any of the developers or publishers whose titles appear on this site. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Product names, developer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and editorial comment only.

Intellectual property

Game icons and screenshots reproduced on this site remain the property of the developers and publishers who own them. They are shown in the context of editorial commentary about the titles they depict, at a size and resolution suited to that purpose. If you hold rights in material shown here and would like it removed or credited differently, write to team@padrecap.com and we will act promptly.

The editorial text, the layout, the structure of the catalogue and the PadreCap name and wordmark belong to PadreCap. You are welcome to quote a short extract with a link back to the page it came from. Republishing a recap in full, or reproducing the site’s design, requires our written permission.

Third-party links

Links to Google Play and to other external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their terms or the way they handle your information. Installing a game means accepting the store’s terms and the developer’s terms, which are matters between you and them.

Availability and disclaimer

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that it will run without interruption, that it will be without errors, or that every detail is accurate, and we may change, suspend or remove any part of it without notice. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the information published here.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law and cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the information again.

Subscriptions

The subscription form is optional. Submitting it registers your address with our notification provider so we can tell you when a new issue is published; the details are set out in the privacy notice. There is no account and no minimum term, and you can end the subscription at any time from your browser settings or by writing to the desk.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other readers, or use it in a way that breaches Australian law. We may restrict access where that happens.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia and of the state in which the desk is established.

Contacting the desk

Questions about these terms, corrections to a recap and rights enquiries all go to the same address: team@padrecap.com.
